The DÖSİMM İstanbul Operations Directorate provides funding for the protection and development of cultural assets, investment in cultural and tourism infrastructure, and promotion of the country.

The Directorate conducts its activities from the department in the Rami Library. Widely known shops for Traditional Handicrafts and Books are operated by DÖSİMM and there is a bookstore within the Rami Library.
