How can I reach to Rami Library?

By Bus: You can reach the library with bus lines 37A, 37E, 37Y and 38B. Visitors using the bus must get off at Talimhane Caddesi Station. It is a 5-minute walk from the station to the Library.

By Metro: You can reach the library via the M1A and M1B metro. Visitors using these metro lines should exit at Bayrampaşa station and transfer to the T4 Topkapı-Mescid-i Selam tram line. You can reach the Library by getting off at the Rami stop of the T4 Topkapı-Mescid-i Selam tram line.

By Minibus: You can reach the Library with the minibus lines A-27 and A-74. Visitors using this route must get off the minibus at the Rami Kışla Caddesi or Talimhane Caddesi stops.

By Tram: You can reach the Library by getting off at the Rami stop on the T4 Topkapı-Mescid-i Selam tram line.

If you are driving to the Library, you can park your car in the private parking lot of the Rami Library, which can accommodate 144 cars. The Municipality of Eyüp also offers a paid parking lot with capacity for 500 vehicles.

May I know the Library’s opening hours?

You can find out the working hours at https://ramikutuphanesi.gov.tr/hakkimizda/calisma-saatleri.

* If needed, all library/halls can be closed for a short time and visitors can be directed to other halls.

Is parking available in the library?

There are parking lots belonging to Eyüpsultan Municipality around the Library. Our visitors are directed to these parking lots. The Library Parking Lot is open to staff vehicles and school buses coming to visit the Library.

Is there a library entrance fee?

Our Library is open to the use of all our public and no fee is charged at the entrance.

Who can use the Library?

Rami Library has reading and study halls for all age groups and researchers, starting with a Baby Library for children aged 0-3. You can visit Rami Library regardless of age or educational background.

Can I come to the Library with my pet?

Non-predatory pets, whose owners have taken the necessary safety and cleaning precautions, are welcome in the Library’s garden.

How can I find out the availability of the book I am looking for at the Library?

You can search the catalog via the KOHA database http://koha.ekutuphane.gov.tr/ or use the counters in our Library to search for resources.

Can I borrow books?

You can register online through the library’s KOHA database (http://koha.ekutuphane.gov.tr/) and e-Government to borrow/lend books. In our Library, you can borrow books from our staff at the counter and / or Selfcheck (Borrow a book, return it) in the corridors of the Library without the need for staff. Our books are loaned for 15 days

Are there computers available for public use in the library?

The public use computers of our library are under preparation. Public use computers will be operational in the following days.

Can I eat/drink in the library?

No food/drink other than water in a closed bottle should be consumed in the sections where library resources are utilized. In the study halls, you can drink beverages with a sealed glass or thermos.
