The sources of the past are carried into the future in the Şifahane.

Certain manuscripts and rare printed works registered in the Library collection are in the Şifahane, established within the Rami Library. These materials, which require repair and restoration, are assessed and examined in the laboratory within the Library, and the work is completed by experts with the utmost care.

The manuscripts in the Şifahane are retained in storage rooms under suitable conditions and oversight. Featuring a special architectural design, the Şifahane’s book restoration activities can be observed by visitors to the Library.
